MP: Roof Collapse at Under-Construction Farmhouse in Indore's Choral Village; 5 Workers Feared Dead

Indore News: A roof collapse at an under-construction farmhouse in Choral village (Simrol), near Mhow tehsil in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has resulted in 6 to 7 people being buried under the rubble. Villagers report that all the workers involved have died. Rescue operations are currently underway, hampered by rain, with debris being removed using JCB machinery.

Initial investigations suggest that the roof, supported by iron angles, was unable to bear its weight, leading to the collapse. Emergency services, including police and ambulances, are present at the scene.

Reports indicate that five workers, who were residents of Indore, have died after being trapped under the debris. The slab was laid just the previous Thursday, and the workers were reportedly sleeping beneath it when the incident occurred. Rescue efforts continue as officials assess the situation.
