Paris Olympics-2024: Aman Sehrawat reaches semi-finals; Neeraj Chopra to participate in final today


Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat can bring a medal in the Paris Olympics-2024. Aman reached the semi-finals of 57 kg freestyle on Thursday. He defeated Albania's Zelimkhan Abakarov 12-0 in the quarter-finals.


Anshu Malik was eliminated after losing in the Women's 57 kg Freestyle Round of 16. She was defeated by Helen Louise Maroulis of America 7-2.


Earlier, Aman Sehrawat has reached the quarter-finals of the Men's 57kg Freestyle of the Paris Olympics-2024. He defeated Vladimir Egorov of Macedonia 10-0 in the Round of 16. Golf Women's Individual events are ongoing.


Neeraj Chopra, known as 'The Man with Golden Arm', will participate in the final of the Men's Javelin Throw event at the Paris Olympics today. 26-year-old Neeraj threw 89.34 meters in the first attempt in the qualification two days ago and ranked first. In such a situation, India will expect a gold medal from him.


Neeraj Chopra's event will be held from 11:55 pm. In the match, Neeraj will face challenges like Anderson Peters of Grenada, Julian Weber of Germany and Ahmed Nadeem of Pakistan.

Turkey's Zeynep Yetgil defeated Indian wrestler Antim Panghal 10-0 in the women's 53 kg freestyle round of 16 bout.


However, the Turkish wrestler lost to Germany's Anika Wendl in the quarterfinals.
