Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah killed, claims Israel, see details

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed. This marks a significant blow to the Lebanese militant group after months of escalating conflict. Hezbollah has not yet confirmed Nasrallah's death.

The IDF has posted on the social media website X, "Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world."

The Israeli Foreign Ministry has also said that Hassan Nasrallah has died.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote on X, "The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and one of its founding members yesterday. Hezbollah's Southern Front commander Ali Karki and several other commanders have also been killed. Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world."

Hassan Nasrallah is a Shia religious leader who heads the Hezbollah group in Lebanon. Nasrallah has not been seen in public life for many years due to fear of being assassinated by Israel.

Hassan Nasrallah has very close ties with Iran. Nasrallah has played a very important role in making Hezbollah a political and military power.

IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi has released a video message.

Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi has said in it, "The message is clear. Whoever terrorizes Israeli citizens, we know how to reach them."

This video clip was shared by the IDF on its social media platforms shortly after the statement of the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Hezbollah has not yet confirmed Israel's claim of killing Hassan Nasrallah.

Several senior Hezbollah leaders killed

Nasrallah, a key figure in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, became the most prominent casualty in the recent escalation. Earlier reports indicated that Nasrallah's daughter, Zainab, was also killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on Beirut on Friday.

The Israeli military confirmed that several senior Hezbollah leaders were killed alongside Nasrallah in a targeted airstrike on Friday. The operation was described as precise, taking place while Hezbollah’s leadership was meeting at their headquarters in Dahiyeh, a southern suburb of Beirut.

Hezbollah has launched attacks on Israeli military positions, positioning its actions as support for Gaza. Nasrallah had issued continued threats to Israel, asserting Hezbollah's involvement in the conflict despite Israeli strikes targeting the group's commanders. In his speeches, he claimed that Hezbollah’s cross-border operations have diverted Israeli forces from focusing on Hamas in Gaza and emphasized that Hezbollah will persist in its attacks on Israel until a cease-fire is established in Gaza.
