Heavy rainfall that began on Monday afternoon and continued intermittently has caused severe flooding in several low-lying areas of Bhopal. Streets in low-lying localities and roads were submerged, leading to traffic disruptions and water logging. Residents are facing difficulties due to flooded homes and disrupted daily routines.
Heavy rain alert
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for the next 24 hours in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. These include Dewas, Harda, Sehore, Khandwa, Indore, Chhindwara, Narmadapuram, Betul, Burhanpur and Raisen districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a period of heavy rain in the state for the next 3 days. According to the Meteorological Department, good rain is expected in September. The effect of the strong system will be more during the next 24 hours.
Actually, due to cyclonic circulation and deep depression in Madhya Pradesh, the strong system causing rain has become active again. Flood threat in 16 districts
The Meteorological Department has also predicted moderate to major flood threat in North Barwani, South Sehore, Central Sagar, Khandwa, Khargone, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, South Ratlam, West Indore, South Burhanpur, South Betul, Chhindwara, West Narmadapuram, South Dewas and Shajapur districts during the next 24 hours.
