An elderly Muslim man was beaten up by passengers sitting with him on suspicion of carrying beef in an express train near Igatpuri in Maharashtra's Nashik district.
After the video of this alleged incident surfaced on social media, GRP (Government Railway Police) started investigating it. GRP has confirmed the incident.
Now Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has reacted to this matter and targeted BJP.
Rahul Gandhi has written in a post on social media platform X that those who ascend to positions of power by wielding hatred as a political tool are perpetually instilling a culture of fear throughout the nation.
He has said that the hateful elements in a mob are openly spreading violence, challenging the rule of law.
Rahul Gandhi has said, "These miscreants have got a free hand from the BJP government, that is why they have developed the courage to do this."
Rahul said that there are continuous attacks on minorities, especially Muslims, and the government machinery is watching as a mute spectator. The law should be established by taking the strictest action against such anarchist elements.
Rahul Gandhi has said, "Any kind of attack on the communal unity of India and the rights of Indians is an attack on the Constitution, which we will not tolerate at all."
He has said, "No matter how much the BJP tries - we will win this historic battle to unite India against hatred at any cost."
