Gold and Silver Prices Hit Record Highs on Dhanteras 2024, check today's rate


Today, on Dhanteras (October 29), gold and silver prices have surged to record highs, marking a historic peak for the festive season. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has risen by Rs 601, reaching an all-time high of Rs 78,846. This follows the previous rate of Rs 78,245 per 10 grams recorded just a day earlier.


Gold and Silver Prices on the Rise


Alongside gold, silver prices have also seen a notable increase. The price of silver has risen by ₹1,152 per kilogram, pushing it up to Rs 97,238 per kg from its earlier rate of Rs 96,086. However, silver had reached an even higher peak earlier in the month, achieving a record high of Rs 99,151 per kg on October 23.


Gold can reach up to 87 thousand by next Dhanteras


According to Anuj Gupta, Commodity and Currency Head of HDFC Securities, gold is getting support due to geopolitical tension and the beginning of the festive season. Due to this, there may be an increase in gold and silver in the coming days. By the end of this year, gold can cross Rs 79 thousand per 10 grams. At the same time, by next Dhanteras, gold can reach up to Rs 87 thousand per 10 grams.
