After Nayab Singh Saini was elected as the Chief Minister of Haryana, BJP leader Anil Vij said, "All the MLAs have unanimously elected him as the leader of the legislative party. He will take oath as the Chief Minister tomorrow."
On the question of being elected for a full five-year term, he said, "The Chief Minister is elected for five years only."
On the question of whether he (Vij) will be given the responsibility of any ministry, he said, "I have handled whatever responsibility the party has entrusted to me till date."
Before the meeting of the BJP Legislature Party, Anil Vij had said that he had not made any claim for the post of CM.
Regarding any big post, he had said, "I have never asked for any post. Whatever decision the high command takes is accepted."
He had said, "All the decisions have to be taken by the high command, whatever decision the high command takes is acceptable."
