In view of the Jharkhand assembly elections-2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party has released the first list of its candidates.
The BJP has released the first list of 66 candidates for the assembly elections.
BJP's state in-charge and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babu Lal Marandi has been made the candidate from Dhanwar seat by the BJP. While Sita Soren, sister-in-law of CM Hemant Soren, has been made the candidate from Jamtara seat. Champai Soren is set to represent Saraikela
The wives of former Jharkhand CMs Madhu Koda and Arjun Munda have also been given tickets. Madhu Koda's wife Geeta Koda has been given a ticket from Jagannathpur, Arjun Munda's wife Meera Munda has been given a ticket from Potka.
Earlier on Saturday, India Alliance also announced the distribution of seats in view of the first phase of voting. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave this information.
Voting will be held in Jharkhand in two phases on November 13 and 20. The results will come on November 23. There are a total of 81 assembly seats in the state.
On Friday, the BJP had given information regarding the distribution of seats.
BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that "Seat sharing discussions are going on and will continue. Currently, All Jharkhand Student Union (AJSU) will contest on 10 seats. These ten seats are - Silli, Ramgarh, Gomia, Ichagarh, Mandu, Jugsaliya, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardaga and Manoharpur."
"JDU will contest on two seats. These two seats are Jamshedpur West and Tamar. Lok Janshakti Party will contest from Chatra. Apart from these, BJP will contest on all other seats."
