Jharkhand, Maharashtra announce one day state mourning on demise of Ratan Tata


The Jharkhand government has announced one day of state mourning on the demise of Ratan Tata.


Chief Minister Hemant Soren wrote on the social media platform X, "One day state mourning is announced on the demise of former Tata Group Chairman and Padma Vibhushan Shri Ratan Tata ji, who gave distinct identity to a backward state like Jharkhand in the world." 


Tata Group has had a special connection with Jharkhand. Tata Group set up its first steel plant in Jamshedpur.


People of Jamshedpur say that whenever Ratan Tata used to come here, he meets people with great affection. He has a special connection with this city.


Ratan Tata was born on 28 December 1937. He breathed his last on 9 October 2024. The Government of India honored Ratan Tata with Padma Vibhushan.


Tata's young assistant pays tribute 


Ratan Tata's young assistant Shantanu Naidu has paid tribute to his boss.


Shantanu Naidu paid tribute to him through a LinkedIn post and wrote, "I will try to fill the void left inside me all my life. Grief is the price to be paid for love. Goodbye my dear lighthouse."


Naidu, a 30-year-old general manager working in Ratan Tata's office, has paid tribute to him by sharing a photo with him.


Maharashtra also announce one day state mourning, people can pay tribute at NCPA


On Thursday, the mortal remains of the legendary industralist will be kept at the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai for people to pay tributes.


After his death, the Maharashtra government has canceled all programs. Maharashtra has announced a day of state mourning on his death.


Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that his body will be kept at the NCPA for the public to pay tribute from 10 am to 3.30 pm.


Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that he will be given a final farewell with state honours.
