Jharkhand Mukti Morcha accuses Election Commission, what did Hemant Soren say?

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has said that the Election Commission works on the instructions of BJP.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha spokesperson Manoj Pandey, while talking to news agency PTI, said, "There is still one and a half month left for the term of Jharkhand assembly to end. But it is being told that the Election Commission can announce the dates of the elections."

"But one thing is not understandable that how do the people of BJP know when the elections are going to be held. The Chief Minister of Assam comes and says that the dates of the elections can be announced today. It is clear that such programs are decided on the instructions of BJP."

He said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is fully prepared for the elections.

The party is confident of getting elected with a huge majority. There are 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand.

In the last election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress contested the elections together.

Does the EC work at the behest of BJP leaders: JMM leader Pandey

In Ranchi, JMM leader Manoj Pandey also expressed his concern. He said, "The election is to be announced today, but BJP leaders got information about it yesterday. This is a very serious matter. Does the EC work at the behest of BJP leaders? It is a serious matter to keep the commission as a puppet."

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha tweeted via its official X handle, "The boss has set everything up. What a scene! @ECISVEEP, will you say something?"

This statement comes as the Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the dates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections today.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Congress chief Rajesh Thakur criticised the Election Commission's timing for the elections. "When the due date for elections in Haryana was November 3 and in Maharashtra November 26, why did you not hold both of them together? When you ignore us, we feel that you make such announcements for political reasons or under the influence of a particular party", Thakur said.
