BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and actress Kangana Ranaut is once again surrounded by controversies. On Wednesday (October 2), she created a new controversy by posting on social media about Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Congress has sharply criticized Kangana Ranaut's statement.
BJP MP Kangana Ranaut posted a post paying tribute to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 120th birth anniversary, in which Gandhi's stature as the Father of the Nation has been underestimated. In this story, Kangana has also posted a photo of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Congress attacks
Congress leader Supriya Shrinet strongly criticized Kangana Ranaut for making an indecent remark on Mahatma Gandhi. She said, "Worshippers of Godse differentiate between Bapu and Shastri ji. Will Narendra Modi forgive his party's new Godse devotee from his heart? He is the father of the nation, he is the son, he is the martyr. Everyone should be respected."
BJP leader also slams Kangana
Senior BJP leader from Punjab Manoranjan Kalia also criticized Kangana Ranaut. He said, "I condemn Kangana Ranaut's comments on Gandhiji's 155th birth anniversary.
