Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Mahakumbh Mela will be organized in Prayagraj next year. Preparations have started for the fair. A meeting of the All India Akhada Parishad was held on Saturday regarding the fair. Several resolutions were passed in the meeting. These mainly include love jihad, security of saints, ban on cow slaughter, making the Kumbh Mela area green and clean, and special attention by the government on the safety of all during the Kumbh Mela.
The Maha Kumbh Mela will start from 14 January 2025 and will continue till 26 February 2025. In this fair, lakhs of devotees will enrich their spiritual life by taking a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam.
Names like Shahi and Peshwai will not be used
During the meeting, it was decided that names like Shahi and Peshwai will not be used for this year's Kumbh Mela. Instead, new names will be proposed to the government with mutual agreement. Additionally, it was agreed that the fair would be boycotted if these demands are not met.
Following the two-day meeting, it was decided that fraudulent saints would be prohibited in the Kumbh Mela area. To enhance security at the fair, a request was made to the government to provide special protection for the saints of all thirteen Akharas.
The Akhara Parishad also urged all Akharas to issue ID cards for their saints to facilitate identification. According to media reports, the Akhara Parishad has called for a ban on the entry of Muslims into the Maha Kumbh.
They stated that there have been numerous instances of people entering Garba while concealing their identities. Given the scale of the Maha Kumbh as a significant religious event, the saints of the Akhara are requesting that no one be allowed entry without proper ID proof.
The saints have observed instances where people from the Muslim community have mingled among them, posing as saints. Therefore, they emphasize the need for thorough checks for anyone attending the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh.
