The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted a raid at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora in Jalandhar. This action has sparked outrage among AAP leaders, who have directed their anger towards the BJP government. Senior leader Manish Sisodia and fellow party member Sanjay Singh have both criticized the Modi administration in light of the raid.
According to sources within the ED, the investigation centers around allegations that Arora, who operates his own business, fraudulently obtained land allotments. The raid is part of an ongoing inquiry into these claims.
In a post on the social media platform X, Manish Sisodia remarked, "Today again Modi ji has left his parrot and myna free. ED has been raiding the house of AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora since this morning. In the last two years, they raided Arvind Kejriwal's house, my house, Sanjay Singh's house, Satyendra Jain's house. Nothing was found anywhere, but Modi ji's agencies are engaged in making fake cases one after the other with full dedication."
Sisodia emphasized that despite the government's efforts to undermine the party, AAP members remain steadfast and undeterred.
Another morning, another raid: Sanjay Singh
Sanjay Singh echoed Sisodia's sentiments, stating, "Another morning, another raid. ED has reached the house of AAP MP Sanjeev Arora. Modi ji's fake case-making machine is after the Aam Aadmi Party 24 hours a day. The Supreme Court has also reprimanded them many times to stop making false cases, but still, ED is not understanding. These agencies do not listen to the court; they only listen to their masters."
For context, following AAP's electoral success in Punjab, the party nominated five Rajya Sabha MPs, including Sanjeev Arora, alongside Raghav Chadha, Harbhajan Singh, and Ashok Mittal. Arora is a prominent businessman in Ludhiana and operates the Arora Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust.
