NCP Ajit Pawar faction released the first list for Maharashtra assembly elections-2024 on Wednesday. It contains names of 38 candidates. Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar will contest from Baramati. It comes under Baramati Lok Sabha seat.
Baramati Lok Sabha seat has been Sharad Pawar's traditional seat. This time his daughter Supriya Sule won from here. Supriya defeated Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar in the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier on Tuesday late night, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) released the first list of 45 candidates. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will contest from Kopdi Pachpakhadi. At the same time, Minister Uday Samant has been given ticket from Ratnagiri.
Mahayuti has announced 182 names so far. This includes the names of 99 candidates from BJP, 45 from Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and 38 from Ajit faction.
Voting will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and the results will be declared on November 23. The term of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is ending on November 26, 2024. Maharashtra has a Mahayuti government i.e. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), BJP and NCP Ajit Pawar faction. It will be a big challenge for the party to manage anti-incumbency and division of votes among 6 big parties.
