NIFT Bhopal organised Raysil Meet 2024, an industry-focused event that brought students face-to-face with top leaders from Raysil, the premium viscose filament yarn brand under the Aditya Birla Group. Represented by Sanjay Vishwakarma, General Manager of Marketing at Raysil, as the chief guest, the session was also enriched by the presence of Mahima Chavan, Branding and Communication Officer at Raysil, a NIFT Mumbai graduate.
The chief guest stated that, “The session was mutually beneficial to both the students and Raysil. Their curiosity and fresh perspectives provided valuable insights, while we were able to share industry knowledge that will hopefully inspire the next generation of designers.”

The Raysil team also conducted an interactive quiz, which saw active participation from the students, with the winners receiving Pantaloons vouchers as exciting rewards.

Raysil has partnered with seven NIFT centers across India to create more hands-on learning opportunities for students. This partnership has enabled NIFT students to participate in the prestigious Raysil Design Couture Awards, a competition aimed at recognizing the creativity of final-year students, providing them with a platform to showcase their design talent on a national stage.
Raysil Meet 2024 has not only broadened the horizons of NIFT students but also strengthened the partnership between NIFT and Raysil, creating more avenues for future collaborations in design, innovation, and textile technology.
For Shrushti Sonkusare, a third-semester Fashion Design student, the event provided an in-depth look at the properties and applications of this eco-friendly material, highlighting its versatility in fashion.
The event was organized under the guidance of MsVishakha Agrawal, Campus Coordinator of Fashion Design Department (CC FD), and the supervision of Joint Director (JD) Akhil Sahay sir. The program was attended by the faculties, staff and students.
