An oxygen cylinder exploded in a house in Secunderabad in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, causing the entire house to collapse. Six people of the same family have died in the accident. At the same time, many other people are feared to be trapped in the debris. On receiving information about the incident, the administrative staff has reached the spot. The rescue team has started the work of removing the debris.
According to initial information, an oxygen cylinder exploded in the house of Raju, a resident of Ashapuri Mohalla in Secunderabad, Bulandshahr district, due to which his house collapsed. Five bodies have been removed from its debris.
Women and children are among among the dead. At the same time, many other people are feared to be trapped in the debris. It is being told that at the time of the accident, there were about 25-30 people in the two-storey house. Rukhsana, the wife of the owner of this house, Rajuddin, was unwell and she was being given oxygen from the cylinder, when this oxygen cylinder exploded.
Rukhsana was undergoing treatment in a private hospital. She was brought home from the hospital on Monday evening. Here, when Rukhsana had trouble breathing, efforts were being made to give her oxygen at home. The family members could not set the cylinder properly and there was a loud blast and the whole house was destroyed. The incident has caused screams in the area. The debris is being removed with the help of JCB. SP City, SDM, CO and fire department are still engaged in rescue.
