Due to the deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has implemented the fourth phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR.
GRAP-4 will be implemented from 8 am on Monday (November 18).
Under GRAP-4, many types of restrictions are implemented to improve the air quality, which have different phases. NCR State Govts. and GNCTD may take a decision on discontinuing physical classes even for classes VI – IX, class XI and conduct lessons in an online mode. The primary classes are already being conducted in online mode.
After the implementation of GRAP-4, only LNG, CNG, electric, BS-6 diesel trucks and trucks carrying essential goods will be allowed to enter Delhi-NCR.
According to the Commission for Air Quality Management of Delhi-NCR, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 441 (severe) at 4 pm today and gradually it kept increasing and then Delhi's AQI reached the severe+ category.
According to CAQM, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 447 at 5 pm on Sunday, 452 at 6 pm and 457 at 7 pm.
Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 3 restrictions were implemented for air pollution control in Delhi on Friday 15 November.
Decision to be taken on offices to work on 50% strength
NCR State Governments / GNCTD will take a decision on allowing public, municipal and private offices to work on 50% strength and the rest to work from home.
Central Government may take appropriate decision on permitting work from home for employees in central government offices.
