Madhya Pradesh: Amount given to sisters under "Ladli Behna Yojana" to be hiked, says CM Mohan Yadav


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Ladli Behna Yojana is a major step in fulfilling social responsibility. Initially, the scheme provided eligible beneficiaries with one thousand rupees per month, which was later increased to 1250 rupees, with plans for further increases. 



Increase in reservation for women


Dr. Yadav announced another initiative for women’s empowerment: an increase in reservation for women in government services from 33 percent to 35 percent, marking a significant step forward. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is setting new benchmarks in empowering women. Additionally, he highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to women’s representation, with a recent announcement to grant 33 percent reservation for women in the legislature.


Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred Rs. 1,573 crore as the November installment to 1.29 crore beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana during a programme at Nehru Stadium in Indore on Saturday. Additionally, he transferred Rs. 333 crore to 55 lakh social security pension beneficiaries and Rs. 55 crore for gas cylinder refills into the accounts of 26 lakh Ladli Behenas. 



Shaurya Veera event


This event, titled "Shaurya Veera," featured a weapon art demonstration by Nari Shakti and was held in honor of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilya Devi. In a historic moment, thousands of girls and women set a world record by performing a synchronized swordsmanship demonstration at a single location, showcasing unity and strength.
