Ayodhya: Ramlala will be adorned in jeweled attire and gold crown, explore Ram Mandir's festive decorations for New Year

Preparations are in full swing at Ayodhya's religious sites as they gear up to welcome the new year. On January 1st, a major influx of devotees is expected at Ramlala's court, with estimates suggesting over two lakh visitors.

On this special day, Ramlala will be adorned in jeweled attire and a gold crown. A special bhog (offering) will be presented. The temple is being lavishly decked up with flowers to enhance the festive atmosphere. Given the expected increase in visitors compared to previous year, local administration is making large-scale arrangements to manage the crowd.

The Ram Mandir Trust has reported that more than one lakh devotees have been visiting Ramlala's court daily ahead of the new year, with over two lakh expected on January 1, 2025. To ensure that all devotees receive prasad (blessed food), distribution points have been set up at three different locations.

Duration of Ramlala's darshan extended

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust is also extending the duration of Ramlala's darshan (viewing) by an hour on this day to accommodate the large number of devotees. However, all passes for the Shayan Aarti ceremony on January 1 have been canceled.

Besides, preparations are taking place at Siddhpeeth Hanumangarhi, where a large crowd is likely. Priest Hemant Das has said that two to three lakh devotees are anticipated to pay their respects to Hanumantlala. To manage the influx, separate entry and exit routes have been set up to facilitate smoother movement.
