Opposition Attacks Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane for Allegedly Labeling This State as 'Mini Pakistan'

The opposition parties in Maharashtra are attacking state's Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane's statement. Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and Congress have slammed him for his statement.

Congress chief spokesperson in Maharashtra Atul Londhe Patil said, "I want to ask Narendra Modi ji and Devendra Fadnavis ji that the person who is a minister today has taken an oath on the integrity of the country and the Constitution. After that, he calls a state of his own country Pakistan and the people who have voted are called terrorists. Does such a person have any right to remain in the post of minister?"

Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) spokesperson Anand Dubey said, "Nitesh Rane's statement is very shameful and unfortunate. Kerala is a state of our own country and voters of our own country live there. This is very cheap and petty politics. A new trend has come in BJP, spew venom and become a minister." However, Nitesh Rane has also given clarification as the controversy grew.

Nitesh said, "Kerala is a part of our country. But everyone needs to worry about the decreasing number of Hindus there. Hindus are being converted to Christians and Muslims there. This has become a daily affair. Cases of love jihad are also increasing."

Nitesh Rane said, "I was comparing this situation in Kerala with Pakistan. If the way Hindus are treated in Pakistan, if the same is happening in Kerala, then we need to think. Hindus should be protected in every way. And this is the message I was trying to give through my speech."
