From December 1, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has increased by Rs 16.50. Now it will be available in Delhi for Rs 1818.50 (earlier Rs 1802), in Kolkata for Rs 1927 (earlier Rs 1911.50), in Mumbai for Rs 1771 (earlier Rs 1754.50) and in Chennai for Rs 1980.50.
However, there is no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. It is available in Delhi for Rs 803 and in Mumbai for Rs 802.50. This increase will affect small traders, hotels and restaurants, who use commercial cylinders.
On the first of last month i.e. 1 November, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder had also increased. At that time, the price of cylinder in Delhi increased from Rs 1740 to Rs 1802, in Kolkata the cylinder increased from Rs 1850.50 to Rs 1911.50 and in Mumbai the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder was increased from Rs 1692.50 to Rs 1754.50.
It is worth noting that the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been increasing for a long time, due to which the general public is facing a lot of problems. However, it is also a matter of relief that no change has been made in the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder.
