Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi next year in 2025. Currently the Aam Aadmi Party is in power in Delhi. This time the election of the 70-seat assembly is special. Actually, after a big development before the elections, Kejriwal had to leave the chair of the Chief Minister of Delhi and make his party's Atishi the CM. Now Arvind Kejriwal is again busy preparing for the assembly elections, but his working style is under question.
Before the Delhi Assembly elections, the country's famous journalist Deepak Chaurasia has asked ten questions to Arvind Kejriwal. Deepak Chaurasia asked if Kejriwal is the same old Kejriwal implying that the former Delhi CM is now a changed person. He said that in this assembly election, Arvind Kejriwal is on the weakest wicket. In the last three assembly elections, the people of Delhi expressed full confidence, on the basis of which Arvind Kejriwal contested the elections and formed the government by defeating with the then Sheila Dikshit government of Delhi. He got more success than expected.
Kejriwal did not live up to his promises!
Well-known journalist Deepak Chaurasia says that the first reason why he is on the weakest wicket is the his staunch honest image has been tarnished. He asked, do you think that Arvind Kejriwal is staunchly honest. His name has come up in many scams including the Delhi liquor scam.
The second big reason is that Kejriwal has abandoned his ideals and values. Arvind Kejriwal had once said that he will not take a government house, but he built a Sheesh Mahal. He had sworn that he will not join hands with the Congress, but he did. After this, he said that he will not take security, but even today a long convoy of vehicles moves with Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal backtracked on this too.
Had once said that the names of the candidates will be decided in the Jan Adalat!
Chaurasia said that in addition to this, Kejriwal had once stated that he aims to establish a new political tradition where candidates will be selected through the Jan Adalat. However, it seems that he primarily listens to his own views. Kejriwal has made various compromises in pursuit of power; for instance, he previously claimed he would not ally with the Congress party in Punjab, yet he did so in Delhi.
Currently, he asserts that he will not collaborate with Congress in Delhi elections. This raises questions about the extent of compromises he has made for political gain. Since taking office in 2013 and 2015, Kejriwal made numerous promises, but it appears that his focus has largely been on his own interests, leading to a decline in his public image with each change in position.
Chaurasia asked why should he be given power in Delhi for the fourth time? This is also a big question now. Arvind Kejriwal has been accused of numerous corruption charges. Helpless administration is also a big reason. The situation in Delhi has changed. Was Kejriwal able to handle the bureaucracy of Delhi? No. What had become of Arvind Kejriwal in the Lok Sabha elections is not hidden from anyone.
