Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025: The office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended invitation to the public to attend the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and have a look at the magnificent damru and trident of Lord Shiva, made from bronze and other metals.
In a post shared on the social media platform 'X', the Chief Minister's Office stated, "Many charming destinations have been developed for devotees attending the 'Prayagraj Mahakumbh', a major festival of folk faith."
The post mentioned that the giant damru and trident of Lord Shiva, located in Jhunsi, are becoming major attractions. Devotees are encouraged to visit and see these impressive creations during the Maha Kumbh.
This Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years, is scheduled to take place in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025. Besides, an expert has reported that the area between two overbridges in Trivenipuram of Jhunsi is being developed into two parks, along with the construction construction of a concrete platform connecting them.
A huge ‘damru’ and trident has been installed on one platform which weighs three tonnes.
Trishul prepared scientifically
This trident is not only attractive due to its height, but it has been prepared using state-of-the-art technology and scientifically. Thus it will be completely safe from natural disasters. 80 feet deep piling has been done under the trident, so that it does not get damaged by any kind of earthquake or other disaster.
Every morning this trident is worshipped and devotees offer flowers to it and seek blessings from Lord Bholenath. A damru has also been installed just above the three prongs of the trident. Which further increases its religious and cultural significance.
Divine Darshan and Blessings
According to Mahant Hari Giri, patron of Juna Akhara and spokesperson Narayan Giri, their akhada has installed similar large tridents in various cities during the Maha Kumbh, but this trident located in Prayagraj is the largest and world famous. According to Mahant Narayan Giri, devotees who see this trident in Maha Kumbh will get special blessings of Lord Bholenath and his grace will always remain on them.
