Cultural Programs and Devotional Activities Will Mark One Year of Lord Ramlala's Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya's Ram Temple

Today marks the completion of one year since the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ramlala at the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, coinciding with the Hindu calendar of 11 January. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has made extensive preparations to celebrate this significant anniversary in a grand manner. On this auspicious day, Lord Ramlala will be adorned in yellow attire, intricately woven and embroidered with gold and silver threads.

The celebrations, which will take place from 11 to 13 January, will include participation from the general public, a notable inclusion since last year's historic ceremony was not open to attendees.

Why 11 January for Pran Pratishtha?

The inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January last year. The Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala occurred on the Dwadashi date of Paush Shukla. This year, the Paush Shukla Dwadashi falls on 11 January, a Saturday, making it the chosen date for the annual anniversary celebration, which is also referred to as Annual Dwadashi.

On this occasion, the Uttar Pradesh government announced that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the program and perform the anointment of Ram Lalla. The special attire for Ram Lalla, known as Pitambari, is being crafted in Delhi and is set to arrive in Ayodhya on January 10, ready for the ceremonial dressing on January 11.

Schedule of Events

The ceremony will commence with the anointment of Ram Lalla at 10 am, utilizing Panchamrit and water from the Saryu river, mirroring the original Pran Pratishtha ritual. Following this, the Aarti will take place at 12:20 pm.

The temple trust has set up a 'German hangar tent' at Angad Tila, accommodating up to 5,000 attendees. This year, the public will have the chance to witness various grand events, including classical performances, rituals, and daily Ram Katha discourses. Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust, emphasized the importance of including those who could not attend last year's ceremony.

Cultural Programs and Devotional Activities

Starting at 2 pm today, the daily program will feature a session of Ram Katha, alongside discourses on Ramcharitmanas and cultural performances. Prasad distribution will occur each morning, enhancing the spiritual experience for attendees. The temple trust has ensured that the decorations and preparations at the Yajna Sthal are elaborate, with the mandap and yagyashala serving as the main venues for these celebrations.

This anniversary presents a unique opportunity for the public to partake in the festivities at the Ram temple. The trust has sent invitations to saints and devotees from across the nation, acknowledging the significance of this occasion as the completion of one year since the idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated in the newly constructed temple at Ayodhya Dham.
