The Election Commission can announce the date of Delhi Assembly elections-2025 on Tuesday (7 January 2025). The Election Commission has called a press conference in this regard on Tuesday afternoon.

There are a total of 70 assembly seats in Delhi. It is believed that the election can be completed in a single phase. The term of Delhi Assembly is going to end on 15 February 2025.

Before the Delhi Assembly elections, big leaders of BJP and Congress have accused the Delhi government of corruption. Prime Minister Modi has attacked the Aam Aadmi Party by calling it 'Aap-da'.

Kejriwal will contest from New Delhi again, Atishi from Kalkaji
Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is contesting from New Delhi assembly seat this time too. This time he is pitted against Congress' Sandeep Dixit and BJP's Pravesh Verma. Kejriwal has always contested from this seat and has a strong hold here.
New Delhi seat is considered a VIP seat, due to which both BJP and Congress have fielded their prominent leaders as candidates, making the contest even more interesting. On the other hand, Chief Minister Atishi is contesting from Kalkaji seat where she will face Congress' Alka Lamba and former BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
