Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Aam Aadmi Party convener and former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, acknowledged during a public meeting on Saturday that he has not been able to fulfill three important promises made in 2020.
While addressing a public meeting in Delhi, Kejriwal said, "In 2020, I made three promises to you. While I have fulfilled many others, these three remain unfulfilled."
He elaborated on the promises, saying, "I had promised to clean the Yamuna, but that has not yet been accomplished. I also promised to provide every household with clean drinking water 24/7, eliminating the need for RO systems and filters. Unfortunately, that has not happened either. Finally, I pledged to enhance the roads of Delhi to European standards, and while progress has been made, there is still much work left to be done."
Kejriwal expressed optimism, saying, "Much progress have been made towards cleaning the Yamuna, and in the next two to three years, you will witness a cleaner river. Initiatives are underway in the Pandav Nagar area for ensuring clean water availability. We are also committed to improving the roads. I believe these three projects will be completed within the next five years."
The Aam Aadmi Party has been in power in Delhi for a decade, during which they have faced a lot of criticism from opposition parties regarding these three promises.
