Delhi Assembly Election-2025: BJP released the second list of candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 on Saturday. This list contains the names of 29 candidates.
BJP has given ticket to Kapil Mishra instead of current BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht from Karawal Nagar.
On this, Mohan Singh Bisht said on Sunday, "Certainly this decision of the party is wrong. What Kapil Mishra is, who he is, the people here understand all this very well. I have a family relationship with the people of Karawal Nagar. I consider them family and do development work considering them part of my family."
He said, "The party has taken a decision, the party will definitely pay for this decision in the coming days. On the 5th February (the day of voting), the residents of Karawal Nagar will reveal whether they give more importance to grassroots workers or to those who are merely pretending."
I am grateful: Kapil Mishra
On the other hand, Kapil Mishra said that he is grateful to the party.
Kapil Mishra said, "I am grateful. The party leadership has expressed this confidence, I have been made the candidate from Karawal Nagar. I have been an MLA from there before and my mother has also been a public representative from there. There is enthusiasm and positivity among the people of Karawal Nagar."
Earlier, BJP had released the first list of 29 candidates on January 4. So far, BJP has announced the names of a total of 58 candidates.
Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly is on February 5 and counting of votes will be done on February 8.
