During the visit of India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to China, the two countries have reached a consensus on several important issues.
The two sides agreed in principle to resume direct air services between the two countries; the relevant technical authorities on the two sides will meet and negotiate an updated framework for this purpose at an early date.
India's Foreign Ministry has said in a press release that both India and China have agreed to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from this summer.
During Vikram Misri's visit, both sides have also agreed to take necessary steps to increase people-to-people contact.
During Vikram Misri's visit to Beijing on 26 and 27 January, both countries have discussed mutual relations.
During this visit, Vikram Misri met a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, Director of China's Central Commission for Foreign Affairs and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
