MP: At the Shahdol Regional Industries Conclave held on Thursday, over 40 industrialists presented various investment proposals.
Torrent Power Limited Vice President, Naveen Kumar Singh, appreciated the state's investor-friendly policies, highlighting the timely approval of investment proposals and the availability of adequate power, water, and infrastructure.
Torrent Power Limited plans to establish a modern, technology-based thermal power plant in the state, which will generate employment for 1,000 people. Additionally, they intend to invest in renewable energy.
Balaghat-based industrialist Harsh Trivedi of Ramanik Power shared that they initially started with an investment of 50 crore rupees in Madhya Pradesh, which has grown to 350 crore rupees, thanks to the state's industry-friendly policies. Now, they plan to invest 500 crore rupees. The state's excellent roads, railways, and other facilities attract investors.
Reliance Energy representative, Ravi Kumar lauded CM Dr. Yadav for organizing regional industry conclaves in every division, calling it a bold and impactful step for both small and large investors. He said that Reliance established a natural gas-based industry in Shahdol 20 years ago with an investment of 6,000 crore rupees, laying a 250-km gas pipeline from Shahdol to Phulpur, Uttar Pradesh. He identified the region as highly suitable for gas-based industries.
Kamal Kishore Sharda of Sharda Energy, Raipur, announced plans to establish a coal-based steel plant in the Shahdol region, along with investments in renewable energy and thermal power. He emphasized that the establishment of industries will bring prosperity to the entire region. They also aim to improve local agriculture by training farmers in hybrid seed production.
Industrialist Narendra Goyal shared his commitment to investing 3,000 crore rupees in Shahdol for setting up a rebar (steel rod) manufacturing plant. He revealed that they have acquired a coal block in the area, and mining operations will begin soon.
Several other industrialists also presented attractive investment proposals during the program.
