Saudi Arabia Road accident: 15 people including 9 Indians died in a horrific road accident in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The accident took place in Wadi bin Hashbal area on Wednesday (29 January) morning. According to the information, the accident occurred due to a powerful collision between a bus and a trailer. There were a total of 26 workers in the bus, who were going towards a worksite.
Indian Embassy released helpline number
The Indian Embassy in Jeddah expressed deep condolences over the accident. Reporting the incident, it wrote on X, "We express deep condolences on the tragic death of 9 Indian citizens in a road accident near Jizan in the western region of Saudi Arabia. Our deepest condolences to the affected families."

S. Jaishankar expresses grief
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also expressed grief over the accident. He said that our Consul General is in touch with the concerned families in Jeddah and is providing them all possible assistance. This is a very sad incident.
Among the Indians killed in the accident, Kapeli Ramesh (32 years) of Metpalli Mandal of Jagtial district of Telangana is also included. Citizens of Nepal and Ghana have also died in this accident, while many others are injured, who have been admitted to the hospital.
