CM Mohan0 Yadav appealed to citizens not to fall prey to false rumors, reaffirming the government’s dedication to public welfare, public interest, and public sentiments.The CM held a high-level meeting late Friday night at the his residence to discuss the disposal of Union Carbide waste near Pithampur. During the meeting, he consulted senior public representatives, administrative and police officials, and legal experts.
The discussions included various aspects of waste disposal and were attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Jagdish Deora and Shri Rajendra Shukla, senior MP and State President Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, Principal Secretary for Law, and other senior officials from the Chief Minister's Office.
Govt prioritizes public interest
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the Madhya Pradesh government prioritizes public interest above all. He stated that all actions taken by the government are carried out with the welfare of the public in mind. In adherence to the Supreme Court's directive, the transportation of Union Carbide waste to Pithampur was carried out following strict safety protocols and compliance with court orders.

CM Mohan Yadav clarified that the waste was transported solely in accordance with the petitions and directives of the Hon'ble Court. The court had set a deadline requiring the waste to reach its designated location by January 4, with a report expected by January 6. The government ensured the transportation was executed in full compliance with the court's instructions to meet the stipulated requirements.
No further action will be taken until the court provides clear directions
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that he is aware of the public's sentiments regarding this matter and believes it is important to address it transparently. He assured that if any security concerns or fear arises among the public, the state government will present the matter before the Hon'ble Court. Dr. Yadav emphasized that no further action will be taken until the court provides clear directions.
