Bhopal GIS: Glimpse of MP's Cultural Heritage to be Showcased at GIS, Over 100 Artists to Perform


To provide investors, industrialists, and guests at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) with an immersive experience of Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and historical legacy, a specially curated dance drama, ‘Amrutasya Madhya Pradesh’, will be performed. 


Directed by renowned choreographer Maitri Pahadi, the performance will feature over 100 artists, showcasing the beauty of the state's diverse cultural traditions and tourist attractions. Additionally, at the event venue, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, traditional folk dances such as Matki and Karma tribal dance will be a special highlight.


Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism & Culture and MD of MP Tourism Board, stated that during GIS, guests will get a melodious experience of Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and tourism spots. Various captivating programs will be presented in a unique manner to make their visit to Madhya Pradesh unforgettable. This initiative will play a crucial role in promoting tourism and attracting investors to the state.


A mesmerizing musical performance will take place


As part of the event, on February 23, a mesmerizing musical performance featuring flute, sarod, sarangi, and jugalbandi will take place at Taj Lakefront Hotel at 6:30 PM. On the first day of the summit, February 24, from 8:00 AM onwards, folk art troupes will showcase local cultural performances at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. 


ODOP platform and MP Pavilion will also exhibit glimpses of state’s heritage


On the same day, the ODOP (One District One Product) platform and the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion will also exhibit glimpses of the state’s cultural heritage, featuring the folk traditions of the Gond and Bhil tribes, as well as the legacies of the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions. In the evening, during the gala dinner, folk dances such as Badhai, Matki, and Karma tribal dance will be performed, culminating in the grand presentation of ‘Amrutasya Madhya Pradesh’ dance drama.


Throughout the event, various stages will host captivating performances of folk songs, tribal music, and traditional dances. These cultural programs will offer attending investors a closer and unique insight into Madhya Pradesh’s historical heritage and deep-rooted traditions.
