Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma's divorce has not been finalized. Dhanashree's lawyer informed the media that the matter is currently ongoing in court. On Thursday, media reports suggested that the divorce had been finalized.
Dhanashree's family also stated that they have not requested Rs 60 crore from Yuzvendra or his family. Chahal and Dhanashree got married in December 2020 and have been living separately since 2023.
Dhanashree's lawyer, Aditi Mohan, said, "The matter is currently in court; the divorce has not been finalized. The media should conduct a fact check before reporting. Many inaccuracies are being spread about both parties."
Dhanashree's family expressed their disappointment over the false reports regarding alimony, stating, "We have not asked for any kind of money from Chahal, nor has he offered anything upfront. The news that we demanded Rs 60 crore is incorrect. We request the media not to spread such information."
