Cracks in NDA ahead of Bihar Elections: Nitish Kumar May Not Attend Delhi CM's Swearing-In Ceremony

A rift appears to be forming within the NDA ahead of the Bihar elections as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced he will not attend the swearing-in ceremony for Delhi's new Chief Minister, set to take place at Ramlila Maidan on February 20 at 11:30 am. This event marks a significant milestone for the Bharatiya Janata Party, celebrating its return to power in Delhi after 27 years, but Nitish Kumar's absence has sent shockwaves through political circles.

Deeper issues may be at play

The BJP has invited Chief Ministers from all NDA-ruled states to the ceremony, but Nitish Kumar's refusal has raised eyebrows. While he has cited his ongoing Pragati Yatra as the reason for not attending, speculations suggest deeper issues may be at play.

Nitish could have postponed the yatra

Political analysts are questioning the legitimacy of Kumar's excuse. They say that he could have postponed the yatra for a few hours to attend such a significant event. Previously, he had delayed the yatra on December 27 due to the passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Why Nitish Kumar is upset

Rumors abound that CM Nitish Kumar is upset with the defeat of JDU candidate on Burari seat of Delhi. It is said that BJP leaders did not follow the alliance dharma on Burari seat. They did not campaign for the JDU candidate. Due to which Shailendra Jha had to face defeat.

As discussions continue in political circles, the true motive behind Kumar's decision remains unclear. Only Nitish Kumar can clarify the reasons for his absence from the swearing-in ceremony.
