The ICC Champions Trophy-2025 is starting from February 19. Pakistan has got the hosting of this tournament. But this tournament is being played on a hybrid model. All the teams will play their matches in Pakistan. But the Team India will play its match in Dubai. Regarding this tournament, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that defeating India will be a big challenge.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the real challenge for his team will be not only to win the ICC Champions Trophy-2025 but also to defeat its archrival India in Dubai on February 23. Sharif said on Friday night during the inauguration ceremony of the newly built Gaddafi Stadium that his players will have to give their best against India.

Sharif said that our team is very good and has performed well in recent times, but now the real challenge before them will be not only to win the Champions Trophy but to defeat our arch rival India in the match to be held in Dubai. The Pakistan team has the support of the whole country. India and Pakistan have a long history of cricket rivalry and the Indian team has dominated against its rival in ICC tournaments since the 90s.
Pakistan's last win against India in an ICC tournament was in the T20 World Cup in Dubai in 2021. Pakistan will participate in the Champions Trophy as defending champions. It had earlier won the tournament held in England in 2017.
Sharif said that this is a huge opportunity for Pakistan as we are hosting an ICC event after almost 29 years. I am confident that our team will make the country proud in the Champions Trophy as well. The renovation work of the Gaddafi Stadium was completed in 117 days. Famous singers Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar and Aima Beg also entertained the audience at its opening ceremony.
