The Global Investors Summit in Bhopal is set to unveil new investment opportunities in the tourism sector, with notable attendees including actor Pankaj Tripathi. On February 25, the second day of the event, a discussion will focus on the role of tourism and culture in shaping a Future Ready Madhya Pradesh.

Key speakers at the summit will include Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, Ministry of Tourism Secretary Ms. V Vidyavati, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Managing Director Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, historian Padmashree KK Mohammad, and several industry leaders and actors.

1000 hectares of land earmarked for tourism projects

To attract investments, over 1000 hectares of land have been earmarked for various tourism projects, including hotels, resorts, golf courses, and roadside amenities. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department is prepared to enhance tourism infrastructure and expand facilities.

Investment Opportunities from Ropeways to Cruises

Investment opportunities will also be available through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for projects such as tent cities, caravan tourism, ropeways, and cruise tourism linking the Statue of Oneness in Omkareshwar and the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.

Film shooting to get fillip

Additionally, the tourism and film tourism policies will offer special benefits to investors. A transparent online "single window system" has been implemented for film shooting permissions, with extra grants available for films in tribal languages and those focusing on women's issues and historical figures from Madhya Pradesh.

The land allotment process has been streamlined, allowing private investors access to land parcels, heritage properties, and road facilitation centers. Special incentives will be offered for significant projects, including direct land allotment for ultra mega projects exceeding 100 crores. Incentive packages tailored to investor needs will also be available, along with support for tourism development in remote areas.
