Chhatarpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, where he digitally laid the foundation stone for a Cancer Institute and Research Center at Bageshwar Dham. This cancer hospital, part of the Shri Bageshwar Medical Science and Research Institute, is an initiative led by Bageshwar Dham's Peethadheeshwar, Saint Dhirendra Shastri. During the event, PM Modi announced that the first phase will involve the construction of a 100-bed cancer hospital on a 10-acre site, with an investment of Rs 218 crore, set to be completed within the next two years.
In addition to the hospital announcement, there is ongoing debate on social media regarding Dhirendra Shastri's marital status. When PM Modi arrived at the Bageshwar Dham temple, he expressed a desire to meet Shastri's mother. The two met, during which PM Modi humorously remarked, "I also have a slip of what is going on in your mind. You want to get your son married." Dhirendra Shastri has previously mentioned that his mother has been concerned about his marriage for the past three years.
PM Modi emphasized that Bageshwar Dham is evolving into a center for health as well as a center of faith, offering bhajans, food, and a healthy lifestyle.
Upon PM Modi's arrival, Baba Dhirendra Shastri praised the Prime Minister for his heartfelt service, stating, "He serves from the heart and not from the party."
He also expressed hope that while PM Modi may not attend his wedding procession, he would be present for the hospital's inauguration. Additionally, Dhirendra Shastri announced from the stage that a ward in the hospital should be named in honor of Prime Minister Modi's mother.
Later, PM Modi performed Darshan and Pooja at Balaji Temple in Chhatarpur. Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Garha village, Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh is being built to ensure better healthcare services for people from all walks of life. The Cancer hospital worth over Rs 200 crore will offer free treatment to underprivileged cancer patients and will be equipped with state-of-the-art machines and have specialist doctors.
