MP: White Tiger Population will get boost in Vindhya Region, Approval for Breeding Centre at Govindgarh, Rewa


Rewa: Madhya Pradesh Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla congratulated the people of state on the approval for the proposed White Tiger Breeding Centre at Govindgarh, Rewa. 


Shukla stated that the establishment of the White Tiger Breeding Centre will not only help increase the white tiger population but also boost tourism. This initiative strengthens the state’s commitment to tiger conservation and nature preservation. He said the state is working tirelessly to become a model in wildlife conservation.


Historic Initiative in Tiger Conservation


Deputy CM Shukla said that establishment of the White Tiger Breeding Centre at Govindgarh will ensure the protection and growth of the white tiger population. Additionally, the centre will give a new direction to wildlife tourism in the state. As a leader in tiger conservation, Madhya Pradesh will further strengthen its position with this initiative.


Boost to Tourism and Employment


Deputy CM added that the White Tiger Breeding Centre will generate new employment opportunities for the local communities. It will also attract tourists from across the country and abroad, giving a distinct identity to the Rewa and Satna regions on the tourism map.


Centre to Function as a Satellite Facility in Rewa


Under the revised Master (Layout) Plan of Maharaja Martand Singh Judeo White Tiger Safari and Zoo, Mukundpur, Satna, the proposal for establishing a satellite facility as the White Tiger Breeding Centre at Govindgarh, Rewa, has been approved by the Central Zoo Authority (CZA).
