Pariksha Pe Charcha': What tips did Deepika Padukone share with students to manage stress

In the eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' program on Wednesday, famous actress Deepika Padukone shared her valuable tips for stress management and success with the students preparing for the exam. In this program, Deepika told the students how they can face the challenges and exam pressure in their life.

Deepika Padukone, who got recognition from 'Om Shanti Om', often shares her personal stories related to anxiety, depression and mental health in public. In the year 2014, she founded the Live Love Laugh (LLL) Foundation, which aims to spread awareness about mental health, reduce the stigma associated with mental illnesses and provide reliable resources to the needy.

During the Pariksha Pe Charcha program, Deepika encouraged students to concentrate on aspects within their control, stating, "Focus on things that you can control, like whether I am ready or not, it is in my control."

Communicate with your parents or teachers

Deepika advised students to communicate with their parents or teachers if they felt stressed. She emphasized the importance of identifying the cause of their stress and sharing it with someone they trust. Additionally, she highlighted that meditation, exercise, and ensuring adequate sleep are effective strategies for managing stress.

I was very interested in activities other than studies

Deepika further said that "I was a very naughty child and I was very interested in activities other than studies, like fashion, dance, and was always excited on sports day. I was fortunate that my parents did not put excessive pressure on me for good marks. I want to tell parents to understand the potential of their child and promote them."

Deepika also told about her success mantra that "First of all it should be clear what you want to do in life. Second, you should have the conviction that you can do it. It is natural to fail and make mistakes, but the most important thing is that you enjoy this journey."

Exam pressure is a natural part of life

The actress said that exam pressure is a natural part of life, but we can only do what is in our control like getting good sleep, staying hydrated, exercising regularly and meditating. Also, she stressed on the importance of getting enough sunlight and fresh air, which help in improving mental health.

Deepika also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the stage of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' for inviting her on the episode.
