By paying 44 crore rupees, you can get American citizenship. America is not the first country which is giving citizenship in exchange for money under Gold Card Visa Scheme.
US President Donald Trump said that this visa card will open the way to American citizenship, people will come to America by paying a hefty amount and they will also pay a lot of tax here. Trump has announced his plan to start the 'Gold Card' visa scheme. Its price will be 50 lakh dollars i.e. about 44 crore rupees and it will be a way for rich people to get American citizenship. Trump said after the first cabinet meeting in the Oval Office, "These people will be rich and successful.”
Currently EB-5 visa is the easiest option to get American citizenship. For this, one has to pay 1 million dollars i.e. about 8.75 crore rupees. Trump says that America's national debt can be repaid soon through the Gold Card.
For Indians who were dependent on the EB-5 program to obtain American citizenship, the 'Trump Visa Program' can prove to be very expensive. Ending the EB-5 program can also harm skilled Indian professionals stuck in the long Green Card backlog.
