The name of the new CM of Delhi is likely to be decided tomorrow (Monday). A meeting of the legislative party has been called in the BJP office Monday afternoon. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has informed media about this.

Swearing-in ceremony can be like a grand event

The BJP has won an absolute majority by winning 71% of the seats. In such a situation, the swearing-in ceremony can be like a grand event. Apart from the Prime Minister, the cabinet and senior party leaders will participate in it. Along with this, the Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of 21 BJP and NDA ruled states are also expected to come.

Party has narrowed down a list of nine potential candidates

The BJP has generated interest with its choice for the Chief Minister, moving beyond political speculations. However, the party entrusts leadership to seasoned members of the organization. Currently, six MLAs are leading the race for the CM position. The party has reportedly narrowed down a list of nine potential candidates. The final decision regarding the Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister, and Speaker will be made from these nine names.

The Delhi Cabinet can have a maximum of seven ministers, including the Chief Minister. Discussions are underway about selecting one BJP MLA from each of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Additionally, considerations will be made regarding the caste dynamics in light of the upcoming elections in Bihar and Punjab.
