PM Modi joins Trump's Truth Social, shares a throwback picture from ‘Howdy Modi’ event, this is what he wrote in his inaugural post

Prime Minister Narendra Modi created his account on Trump Media and Technology Group's social media platform, Truth Social, on Monday. In his inaugural post, PM Modi expressed, "Happy to join Truth Social! Will interact with the users here in the coming time and will be involved in meaningful discussions."

PM Modi's entry onto the Truth Social platform coincided with US President Donald Trump sharing his recently released podcast, which features a conversation between PM Modi and Lex Fridman. This podcast, titled "Lex Fridman-PM Modi Podcast," was released on Sunday, March 16.

For his first post, Modi shared a throwback picture from the ‘Howdy Modi’ event. His caption read: "Looking forward to interacting with the passionate voices here and engaging in meaningful conversations in the time to come."

The event, held at NRG Stadium on September 22, 2019, was one of the largest-ever receptions for a foreign leader in the U.S. With a 90-minute cultural program featuring 400 performers, it set the stage for Modi and Trump’s joint address.

'Thank you my friend, President Trump'

PM Modi thanked US President Donald Trump in his first post. He wrote, "Thank you my friend, President Trump. I have discussed my life journey, India's civilizational vision, global issues and other topics in this podcast."

Truth Social is a social media platform launched by Donald Trump in 2021. After being banned from Twitter and Facebook, Trump has used this platform as a main medium to share his views.
