Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has expelled her nephew Akash Anand from all responsibilities of BSP. Republican Party of India (A) chief Ramdas Athawale has offered to induct BSP supremo Mayawati's nephew Akash Anand in his party. Akash Anand has been expelled from BSP by his aunt Mayawati.
Ramdas Athawale said, "If he (Akash Anand) wants to carry forward the mission of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, he should join the Republican Party of India… If he (Akash Anand) joins the party, the Republican Party of India will gain more strength in UP."
On Monday, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati expelled her nephew Akash Anand from the party, saying that the reaction given by Akash Anand after being removed from the post was "selfish and arrogant".
Mayawati wrote on X, “In the interest of the self-respect and self-esteem movement of the most revered Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and following the discipline tradition of revered Kanshiram, Akash Anand is expelled from the party like his father-in-law in the interest of the party and the movement.”

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati said the comments made by Anand after he was removed from the post were “not a sign of political maturity.” She accused him of being under the influence of his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth.
The BSP supremo said, “The lengthy reply given by Akash is not a sign of repentance and political maturity, rather it is selfish and arrogant…under the influence of his father-in-law, which I have been advising people in the party to avoid.”
Relieved of all responsibilities
Mayawati said Akash Anand was expected to accept the decision to remove him from key posts in the BSP with “maturity”. Akash Anand was relieved of all responsibilities including the post of national coordinator at the all-India meeting as he was under the persistent influence of his father-in-law Ashok Siddhartha, who was also expelled from the party.
"He should have repented for this and shown maturity," Mayawati said. A day after being removed from all key posts, Anand on Monday said he was unwavering and drawing strength from the ideals of the Bahujan movement. He said this struggle was not a career but a fight for self-respect and self-esteem of marginalised communities. He said he would continue to devote himself fully to the party and fight for the rights of society as a true worker of the Bahujan movement. He also described the decision as emotional and said the "test is tough".
