What did Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva say on Atishi's question related to Mahila Samridhi Yojana?

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has responded to the remarks made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi Marlena regarding Mahila Samridhi Yojana.

Sachdeva claimed that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal referred to Atishi as a "caretaker Chief Minister."

Sachdeva stated, "Atishi Marlena's comments reflect her frustration and disappointment. As someone who has held a constitutional position, she should be aware of the necessary legal procedures."

He elaborated on the process required to implement any initiative, emphasizing the need for a plan, budget approval, and cabinet consent, which he noted had been addressed with the allocation of Rs 5,100 crore.

Earlier, Atishi had questioned the financial support promised to women during the Delhi elections. She highlighted a commitment made by Prime Minister Modi to provide Rs 2,500 to every woman in Delhi on Women's Day.

She said neither the money came into women's accounts nor the registration began, Atishi said, "Today is 8th March. Neither money came in the account, nor registration started, only a 4-member committee was formed. That is, after digging a mountain, a mouse came out. Was this Modi ji's guarantee?"

In his rebuttal Sachdeva said, "It will take time to fill the holes left by Atishi Marlena and Arvind Kejriwal. It is our commitment that we will fulfill every promise. We have taken a step in that direction."

"Sisters will start getting Rs 2500 per month under Mahila Samridhi Yojana. Along with that, Delhi also has to be developed. There is a problem of sewage, there is a problem of roads, there is a problem of cleanliness, that too needs to be fixed.”

He said, “Aatishi Marlena, I have just one request to you. It has been 37 months, the women of Punjab are looking for you. Please pay attention to them. We will take care of Delhi.”
