Comedian Kunal Kamra's first reaction to the controversy surrounding his parody song about Maharashtra's Deputy CM Eknath Shinde came late on Monday night via social media. Kamra stated that he will not apologize, asserting, "What I said is exactly what Ajit Pawar (First Deputy CM) said about Eknath Shinde (Second Deputy CM)."
He further expressed his defiance, saying, "I am not afraid of this crowd, and I will not hide under my bed and wait for this incident to calm down." The controversy ignited after a video surfaced on March 23, featuring Kamra singing a parody song with the opening line, "Thane ki rickshaw chehre pe dadhi, aankhon par chashma hai..."
An FIR was registered against Kamra on March 24. Maharashtra's Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, mentioned in the Assembly that the investigation will include examining Kamra's call recordings, CDR, and bank statements to uncover any underlying motives.
