Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman has clarified his remarks regarding Rana Sanga made in the Rajya Sabha.
In a statement to media, Suman explained, "On Friday, during the discussion on the Home Ministry's work in Parliament, I mentioned that Babar was invited to Hindustan by Rana Sanga to defeat Ibrahim Lodi. My intention was not to hurt anyone's religious sentiments."
He emphasized that he has no intention of playing with the sentiments of followers of any religion or caste. "My statement was not against any caste, class, or religion. I salute all those who have sacrificed for the soil of this country. My intention was not to hurt anyone's sentiments," he added.
On Friday, the SP Rajya Sabha MP had stated, "I would like to know who brought Babar? Rana Sanga brought Babar to defeat Ibrahim Lodi." His comment had drawn objections from Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.
