LPG cylinder price hiked, check the new rate


LPG cylinder has become costlier by Rs 50. On Monday, April 7, Petrol Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information. 


Currently, gas cylinder is available in Delhi for Rs 803. After the price hike, the price will be Rs 853. At the same time, the price of gas cylinder for the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will increase from Rs 500 to Rs 550.


The last time the government had cut the price of cylinder by Rs 100 on Women's Day on March 8, 2024. Then the cylinder in Delhi was Rs 903.


The Petroleum Minister said - Oil marketing companies have suffered a loss of about Rs 41,000 crore due to selling cylinders at a price below the cost. To reduce this loss, it was decided to hike the prices.


On April 1, oil marketing companies had reduced the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 44.50.

Domestic gas cylinder will also become expensive in Madhya Pradesh. It will be available for Rs 858 in Bhopal, Rs 881 in Indore and Rs 936 in Gwalior.
