On Tuesday morning, a luxurious farmhouse spread over 2000 square yards in this area has been razed. Teams of police, crime branch, SOG, cyber crime and SRP are deployed in the area. Now this matter has reached the Gujarat High Court.

Residents have filed a petition in HC

Residents of the area have filed a petition in the High Court saying that demolition is being done without following the legal process and rules. The petitioners claimed that no concrete evidence has been presented of the people living here being Bangladeshi.

Ahmedabad Police has detained 890 suspects from Shah Alam area in the last two days. Out of these, 143 people have been identified as Bangladeshi citizens. This action was started after the Pahalgam terror attack.

Farmhouse owner fled before police arrived

The police commissioner who arrived for the action was shocked when he saw a luxurious farmhouse spread over 2000 square yards amidst slums. Investigation revealed that this luxurious farmhouse belongs to a person named Lalla Bihari. However, Lalla Bihari fled before the police arrived. This illegal farmhouse has been demolished.

In this case, the petition filed in the Gujarat High Court states that only the Foreign Tribunal can decide whether a person is an illegal foreigner or not. Apart from this, no notice was given before demolishing the house and no arrangement for rehabilitation was also made. The petitioners have demanded an immediate hearing of the case from the High Court. Hearing on this is likely today.
