Meanwhile, an Army JCO was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Akhnoor, Jammu district, on Saturday. The encounter began late Friday night in the Keri Battal area of Akhnoor, where security forces have surrounded the entire area.
Pakistani intruders killed
Earlier, on the night of April 4 and 5, BSF personnel killed a Pakistani intruder in the RS Pura sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu. On April 1, 4-5 Pakistani intruders were killed in an encounter with the Army on the LoC, which took place in the forward area of the Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch.
On April 1, there were three mine blasts in the area adjacent to the LoC, accompanied by firing from the Pakistani side. It is claimed that the terrorists attempted to infiltrate during this time, prompting a retaliatory response from the Indian Army, resulting in the deaths of 4 to 5 infiltrators.
Regarding the firing and blasts, the Army stated that on April 1, the Pakistani Army attempted to infiltrate from across the LoC, leading to a mine blast in the Krishna Valley sector. The Pakistani Army fired without provocation, violating the ceasefire agreement.
The Army reported that their soldiers responded to the firing, ensuring that the situation is under control and being closely monitored.
