UP: Rahul Gandhi on 2-day tour of Amethi, Rae Bareli; what is the agenda?


Amethi/Rae Bareli: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has once again turned to Uttar Pradesh. He is reaching Rae Bareli and Amethi on a two-day tour on 29 and 30 April. During this, Rahul will inaugurate and inspect many development schemes in his parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli and neighboring district and his former parliamentary constituency Amethi. Rahul will infuse enthusiasm among Congress workers with this tour, while on the other hand Congressmen are excited about his arrival.


After becoming an MP from Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi is visiting Amethi for the first time, while he is coming to Rae Bareli for the fourth time. Earlier he was the MP of Amethi, but in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he had to face defeat from BJP leader Smriti Irani. This time after winning with a huge margin from Rae Bareli, the expectations of the public have increased even more.


Rahul will inaugurate various scheme


According to the information, Rahul Gandhi will inaugurate various schemes during his tour, communicate directly with the public and review local development works. Apart from all this, he will hold a meeting with the party workers and will discuss the upcoming strategy. During this time, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai is likely to be present with Rahul Gandhi. Local leaders are busy preparing to make his visit a success.


In view of Rahul Gandhi's visit, the administration has also made strict security arrangements. Instructions have been given to clean the program venues and streamline the traffic system. It is believed that through this tour, Rahul Gandhi wants to give a message of his activism among the public, so that Congress can get more strength in the upcoming elections.


Amethi and Rae Bareli are called the stronghold of the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh. Before Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Feroze Gandhi and Indira Gandhi have been MPs from Rae Bareli. Talking about Amethi, Rahul Gandhi has been an MP 4 times. Apart from this, Rajiv Gandhi has also represented Amethi.
